I-90 FUTURE
I-90 was planned to be rerouted over the former Beacon Park Yard which was an abandoned rail park. This is to make the interstate safer.
There have been proposals of adding exits in 4 towns to shorten the dustances between two exits. They are Becket, Blandford, Warren, and Oxford. These will cut distances between exits in half, except for Oxford.

Exit Reconfiguration
Massachusetts has planned to change all exit numbers on any freeway, interstate, and US route with an exit. They currently use a sequential numbering system which they will switch to a milepost based system, going from west to east, increasing to the east.
