MASSACHUSETTS ROADS 

The Interstate Highway System, officially known as the Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways is a grid of controlled-access highways that form the National Highway System in the U.S.A. Dwught D. Eisenhower was the president of the formation of the system. Construction of the freeways was authorized by the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956, and the original routes were completed 35 years later, despite some urban route cancellations. By 2006, the estimated cost of construction was at an astounding $425 billion.
